Avengers: Endgame is the culmination of a decade of world-building within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a lot has changed since the days when Iron Man was still throwing out casual references to MySpace, the social network we all used and loved.
Endgame marks the fourth time the many superheroes of the MCU have assembled, and no one is feeling the love from its blockbuster opening weekend more than the stars who first came together to make the event possible.
The OG Avengers have been sharing their gratitude for the uproarious response online, with the godfather of the whole shebang, Robert Downey Jr., calling the experience of becoming Tony Stark “the ride of a lifetime.”

Meanwhile, Chris Evans a.k.a. Captain America a.k.a. the Second-Best Chris in Hollywood, wrote that he was “feeling a deep sense of gratitude” after seeing some “incredibly touching” tributes from Avengers fans, and Chris Hemsworth said he felt honored to put his concrete-signing skills to work by joining his co-stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I remember many years ago carving my name into wet concrete on the sidewalk outside my grandmas place, little did I know that years on those skills would come in handy! Honoured to share this moment with my Avenging mates on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame 🙏🤙👍🕺 @Avengers pic.twitter.com/r4FsmwmA5m

Jeremy Renner — whose time as Clint Barton/Hawkeye will continue on with a Disney+ series devoted to him training the next generation of Avengers — was also bursting with pride over the weekend, writing, “My love and adoration explodes for this shared experience with some of the most amazing people and the BEST FANS.”
Don Cheadle said that he is grateful that Avengers: Endgame serves as such “a fitting end to a great decade worth of marvel mythology,” and Mark Ruffalo made sure to give credit where credit is due, writing to fans, “We wouldn’t be here without all of you. THANK YOU.”
